Checklist for Gamefest

To take to gamefest.

Take all relevant disks!

Installation disks for operating system.

Installation disks for games.

All device drivers.

Headphones.

Mouse and mouse pad.

PC, monitor, power strip, all relevant cables.

Including network cable.

Cable modem is not needed.

Adapting PC to Gamefest network environment.

My Adapter Address (determined by running WINIPCFG) is: 44–45–53–54–00–00

Right-click Network Neighborhood on desktop and select Properties, or click Network Neighborhood on Control Panel.

Select Identification tab.

Change Workgroup to “Test”.

Select Configuration tab.

Click on File and Print Sharing.

Select “I want to be able to give others access to my files.”

Done!

Revert PC to home use.

Right-click Network Neighborhood on desktop and select Properties, or click Network Neighborhood on Control Panel.

Select Identification tab.

Change Workgroup to “@Home”.

Select Configuration tab.

Click on File and Print Sharing.

Deselect “I want to be able to give others access to my files.”

Done!
